Breaking free from the Hidden Chains of Delay Revealed in Your Dreams
HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE BATTLING WITH THE SPIRIT OF DELAY?
There are dreams that show battles with the spirit of delay, but first, what is delay?
Delay is one of the biggest force that can strike you when it come to achieving your purpose in life because there are moments that once you miss your divine timing in accomplishing something you may never have the second chance to get them done. This is why you must always rise up to antagonise the powers behind the spirit of delays.
EFFECT OF DELAYS IN YOUR LIFE
There are delays that are not divine, I call them "demonic delays" and they have detrimental effects on your life:
It holds you away from what God has for you
It pulls you away from the path of your favour and your fulfilment.
It stands at all time to ensure you do not achieve what God have say to you, part time.
The devil is a master strategist who understands that every season carries divine purpose and blessings from God. In response, he assigns demonic agents to interfere with God’s timing in your life. Chief among these is a demon named "Asteroth", who manipulates time to delay destinies, hijack breakthroughs, and cause you to miss critical seasons of divine visitation. This is the same demonic force that resisted Daniel's answered prayer, even though God had already released the answer.
Astaroth does not work alone. He collaborates with another spirit called belphegor, the demon of sloth and spiritual laziness. Belphegor ensures that even when blessings are released, they are delayed so severely that by the time they manifest, the recipient is often disappointed, tired, wounded, or no longer in position to fully enjoy them.
These spirits work together to frustrate divine timing, block speedy manifestations, and keep people trapped in cycles of delay, missed opportunities, and stagnation. It is a spiritual battle that must be discerned and confronted through prayer.
DREAM THAT SHOWS YOU ARE BATTLING SPIRIT OF DELAY
Dream of getting stuck in an elevator
This is a dream that shows spirit of delay is fighting you. All the time in your dream, you get stuck in elevator, instead of going up you hang in-between and you remain there sometime till you wake up from your dream, this is a clear sign that the demon that fights time is dealing with you, trapping your life, holding you, delaying you from arriving where you should be part time. There are delays I said that end in blessing, i.e “divine delay”, but there are delays that are demonic where God has released the blessing but the blessing doesn’t get to you in time just like what happened in:
Dan. 10:12-13 an angel reassures Daniel, telling him not to fear because his prayers were heard from the first day he sought understanding. The angel explains that he was delayed in responding for 21 days by the "prince of the kingdom of Persia," but was eventually helped by Michael, one of the chief princes.
The demon that is in charge of delay detained angel Gabriel, this is demonic delay.
Dream of stopped watch or stopped clock
Have you ever had a dream and see in that dream a clock was revealed to you or a watch and you see that the watch is not working? Once, you see that, it is an indication that the spirit of delay, the demon “Astaroth” is fighting your life and is stopping your favour, stopping your season of blessing from manifesting. That’s his area of specialisation, to grab your season of blessing and if you don’t deal with this demon, it can delay your marriage, job, promotion, apartment and anything good you are expecting because that is his mission to delay your time or stop your time.
During one of my private sessions, a passionate gospel singer, shared her dream with me where she dreamt that she was holding her favourite wristwatch, but the second hand had stopped moving. No matter how she shook it or tried to adjust it, the watch remained still. Around her, people were moving freely and progressing, but in her hands, time stood still.
Not long after, she began experiencing unexplained stagnation in her music career. Invitations to minister slowed down, and the album she was working on faced repeated delays. Producers quit unexpectedly, funds were lost, and recording dates were constantly rescheduled.
During a prophetic counselling and prayer with her, it was revealed to me that the stopped watch in her dream was a sign of the spirit of delay working against her divine timing. It meant her season of progress had been frozen in the spiritual realm and after intense prayer, and declaration she began to see rapid progress. Within six months, her album was released, and doors for international ministry opened.
Dream of been on a long queue
Always seeing yourself on a long queue and most time at the back but before the things that are being distributed gets to you, you wake up from the dream, this is a sign demonic delay is involved, fighting to make sure the favours, blessings and progress of life never reaches you and will always wait and wait forever. The devil is very strategic that he mount his demons in charge of every operation - "If you can’t stop it, delay them so by the time they get it, its no longer useful." There are some blessings that comes to you as expired blessing because you have passed the age where you need them. Say: any demon that want my favour to expire before I get it, you are in for trouble tonight in Jesus Christ Name.
Dream of struggling to climb a mountain and you are unable to climb
Always at the mountain base and struggling to climb the mountain and cannot or through a ladder and can not go up that is spirit of delay fighting your life, he keep you in one spot struggling to achieve something and you never get it done.
A young man who has been trying to complete his university studies. Every time he gets close to finishing, something blocks his progress. Lack of school fees, family problems, or sudden health issues. In his dream, he sees himself trying to climb a very high mountain, but no matter how hard he tries, he keeps sliding down or getting tired before reaching the top. During a private session with him where he shared his frequent dream and how he has been struggling with obstacles, I told him the spirit of delay was fighting him and after a prophetic counselling and prayer, over time, he overcame the “mountain” of financial struggle and eventually graduated.
Dream of driving a car with sluggish acceleration
You see yourself in the dream trying to accelerate the car but it is not moving or just moving slowly. This kind of dream is showing the spirit of delay is fighting your life, you are putting a lot of effort trying to get things done fast, trying to make it work out in good time but no way, it’s not working out because there is a force fighting you. It's like putting you in a limp mode where you are unable to function optimally because something is wrong. This kind of things happens in the realm of the spirit when some of those forces begin to fight your life.

Father, I stand against any demon delaying my favour I destroy their stronghold on my blessings in the name of Jesus.
Father, I scatter all forces blocking the arrival of my success in the name of Jesus.
Father, send down your warning angel against any demon delaying my progress in the name of Jesus.
Father, let all my delayed blessings be released from today in the name of Jesus.
Father, I banish the demon of delay astaroth fighting my progress, I cast it out of my life in the name of Jesus.
